History

Pathé Records was a France-based international record label active from the 1890s through the 1930s. Pathé's concessionaires in Egypt and Sudan were a firm bearing the Sephardic name "Cicurrel Sons and their partners" (Racy, 1976) Pathé was sold to Columbia (UK) in December, 1928. In February, 1930 the company released its only Sephardic recordings, five disks by Isaac Algazi.
